Introduction
Since 2012, the WGA Caddie Academy has provided caddie opportunities for current freshmen in high school who have excellent academics, demonstrated financial need and outstanding character and who would otherwise be unable to caddie at WGA-affiliated clubs. The Caddie Academy has been offered to young women each year since 2012, and in 2017, the WGA launched a program for young men.
Please complete the application below and upon submitting, please provide (this list along with related PDF downloads will be displayed after you submit the application below — on the page immediately following):
- A personal essay: One page, double-spaced, typed essay to help the committee become better acquainted with you. Your essay should include: 1) Personal background, 2) Your interest in caddying and participating in the Caddie Academy, 3) Your qualifications for selection.
- High School Evaluation Form (download here, print and submit with other documents)
- High School Transcripts
- Letter of recommendation (written by a high school official)
- The first page of your family's most recent tax return and W-2 Forms
- Brief statement written by a parent summarizing your family’s financial condition
All of the above documents should be mailed to: The WGA Caddie Academy, 2501 Patriot Blvd, Glenview, IL 60026. Please set aside ample time to complete this form in one pass as you cannot save and return to complete it. Almost all of the fields are required — only class rank is optional, please keep this in mind as you are filling out the form.
