Caddie walks to the green

Caddying is much more than a summer job

But what does a caddie do?

Caddies assist golfers in various ways, from warmup until the final putt drops. Responsibilities include carrying the golfer’s bag, determining yardages, replacing divots, raking bunkers and tending to the flagstick.

New to caddying (or golf)? No problem!

All WGA Caddie Academy participants go through a comprehensive training program featuring lessons in the classroom and on the golf course. They’ll learn the basics of the game and how to caddie and will receive continued instruction throughout the summer.

Clubs

WGA Caddie Academy participants live together at one of six chapters while caddying at nearby country clubs. These are the clubs that partner with us to provide youth caddying opportunities.
